Paige Halliday - Trash Incorporated Paige creates illustrations of everything wonderful that pop culture has to offer. Inspirations include the world of cartoons, movies and television. From bright, colorful posters to stickers that can be put anywhere, there is sure to be something that you're obsessed with! Bethany Lumsdaine - Itchy Co. Bethany Lumsdaine creates sweet, eerie, and affordable wearables. As an artist and printer, she incorporates both hand drawn aspects and printmaking into her products. Bethany makes small pins and earrings as well as screen printed items such as shirts and patches.

This year the organizers of the Bloomington Handmade Market have done something new and exciting. We have opened a portion of our show to student artists from IU Bloomington and Ivy Tech and call it our Micro Market. What we hope to teach these makers is how you can grow a business from things you make. So for today and tomorrow we will be introducing you to our amazing Micro Market artists. Thao Pham I'm a girl who is born in Vietnam and soulfully nurtured in the USA. I love nature and Vietnamese traditional hand embroidery. This project aims at capturing the beauty of nature through hand embroidery in fabric products. Leo Quirk Leo Quirk enjoyed photography from a young age and purchased his first DSLR camera at the age of seventeen after becoming more serious about the hobby. Mr. Quirk has created conceptual photo series, done formal photo shoots for musicians, and documented events for multiple national organizations. Mr. Quirk was self-taught until last year when he began his minor in photography at Indiana University which encouraged a growth of conceptual nature in his work. Yun Xiao I am an handcraft and photography lover, who is still trying to express myself by art. My artworks always involve the elements from a specific historical period in 1960s-1970s China which was a very special time. She loves painting nature and can often be found outside gathering inspiration. Her works are known for being bright and cheerful. Frittle Candy Newfangled Confections offers blast-from-the-past candy made with a dash of love and nostalgia. Candymaker Carrie Abbott’s modern take on grandma’s candy dish favorites is inspired by childhood memories including trips with her grandfather to Hook’s Drugstore in the late 1970s. Carrie has been on the epicurean food scene since 2008. After an experiment gone deliciously right involving a peanut butter dessert for a reception she catered, her signature Frittle candy was born. Sara B. Jewelry & Metalsmithing Sara B. Jewelry & Metalsmithing is rooted in the hunt for rare pieces of earth to be collected, and for those bits of natural history to be preserved and captured in unique, modern handmade jewelry. All Sara B. pieces are handcrafted in her little Midwest mess of a home studio. Her quest is to create unconventional jewelry with a bit of raw earthiness and asymmetry. All craft show displays are built using 100% reclaimed pallets and found wood. DaiPur Designs This is a new season and beginning for DaiPur Designs! A new cohesive brand moving forward! The elements that are used throughout the fall/winter collection are denim, zippers, snaps, beads and leather. You will see these elements across the board in all of my handmade designs from jewelry, bags and scarves. Each item is handmade in my smoke-free studio from designing, cutting and to construction. RE RE by Kat Scott is based out of Indianapolis, IN. She works in repurposed and reclaimed materials to make unique art pieces and home goods that emphasize the natural beauty found in wood. Hannah Hoffman Hannah Hoffman creates work that embodies a contrast in texture, color & material. She creates well crafted, comfortable work out of quality materials. She is currently transitioning to using recycled metals and other materials whenever possible. Pittman Design and Fab A family owned and operated custom sheet metal and art shop located in Indianapolis. Indiana pride products created under the label Made in Naptown are very popular. Some of the types of metal used are steel, copper and recycled barn metal. All products are handmade and all metal is purchased locally. Awesome by Jenna Awesome by Jenna is a quirky handmade business that creates an assortment of affordable and nerdtastic items! Jamie Locke Art A life long artist and maker in many mediums, Jamie Locke discovered a love for creating mandalas in 2007, inspired by the traditional Indian art form of mehndi. Starting with ink and paper, her unique style has since then evolved to carving intricate mandala designs onto wood, metal, glass and stone.
